Plant Parasitic Nematodes

Nematodes, perhaps the most numerous of the multi-cellular animals, can be found in almost all environments from hot springs to the frozen Arctic and Antarctic. Some of these are damaging parasites of plants. Plant parasitic nematodes can cause varying degree of damage to crops from stunted growth and low crop yields to complete destruction. These nematodes are found everywhere in the soil. They are known by their common names of Cyst, Root knot, Spiral, Pin, Stunt, Lance, Ring, Sting, Dagger, Sheath, Stubby Root, Lesion, Needle, and Reniform. A & L Analytical Laboratories has highly trained professionals that can assist in the diagnosis of a potential plant parasitic nematode problem.
